Scoring:

For this pool, each player picks 16 teams before the start of the March Madness tournament.

Each time their team wins, they get the SEED VALUE for that team plus ROUND BONUS points for each round as follows:

The software company that provides the brains behind this pool has ceased technical support for this offering. As such, this pool is CANCELLED.

 

However, we will offer cheap (or free) replacement pools to gauge their enjoyment and interest.

 

 

March Madness SURVIVOR Pool

This is a survivor pool that you often see in other sports. This does require daily interaction if you want to finish near the top. So we are keeping it cheap and offering minimum prize amounts to drum up interest. This year will be our "beta" test for this pool option.

Scoring:

Pick a winning team each day of the tournament survive as long as possible.

Picks lock at game time.

For Round 1 (Thursday and Friday), you must pick 2 teams on those days.

Pick Limit per Team: 1 (the number of times you can pick the same team).

Number of Lives: 2 (allowable losses before elimination).

Optional Buyback: $1 to buy a life once one life is lost.

If a player picks no team for that day, there is a 10 point penalty in your SOV score.

Standings show who is alive vs eliminated, plus pick history.

 

Tie-Breakers:

1.      Strength of Victory (sum of point margin of win(+) or loss (-) in each game)

 

 

March Madness SQUARES Pool

This is a block squares pool that you often see with the Super Bowl.

Your square stays active for the whole tournament, so you only need to enter once (no daily interaction required).

This is a onc does require daily interaction if you want to finish near the top. So we are keeping it cheap and offering minimum prize amounts to drum up interest. This year will be our "beta" test for this pool option.
